As unpredictable as he is brutal, the dethroned reaver king Gangplank is feared far and wide. Once, he ruled the port city of Bilgewater, and while his reign is over, there are those who believe this has only made him more dangerous. Gangplank would see Bilgewater bathed in blood once more before letting someone else take it—and now with pistol, cutlass, and barrels of gunpowder, he is determined to reclaim what he has lost.
Gangplank was released on July 13, 2010. Players could purchase them with Riot Points or Blue Essence as soon as it dropped in-game.
Gangplank is primarily played in the Middle lane and falls under the Fighter class. However, they can also be effective in the Top depending on team composition and matchups. The champion's kit and playstyle make them most suited for it, where they can maximize their impact throughout the game.
Currently, there are 12 Gangplank Skins available in the game. This includes all cosmetic variants released since their launch, the base skin is not included.
Gangplank costs 1,575 Blue Essence or 790 Riot Points. You can purchase them from the in-game store using either currency. Blue Essence is earned through the battle pass and disenchanting champion shards, while Riot Points require real money to obtain.
