When is the Next Clash? Complete LoL Clash Schedule (2025)

League of Legends Clash is a tournament-style game mode within League of Legends, designed for organised teams of players rather than the normal ranked queue. Players form a team of five, register for a scheduled tournament, and then compete against other teams with roughly similar ranks.

Many players want to participate in Clash but struggle to find information about when the next tournament begins. Tournament schedules aren't always immediately visible in the client, and missing registration windows means waiting weeks for another opportunity.

In this article, we'll explore everything you need to know about Clash, including how it works, registration requirements, the full schedule for this year, and the potential rewards you get for participating.

How it Works

Clash operates as a weekend tournament where teams of five compete in bracket-style matches against opponents of similar skill levels. Team formation begins on the Monday before a tournament weekend, allowing captains to invite players and set up their team with a custom name, logo, and tag.

Tier System

Teams are assigned to one of four tiers based on their skill level, with Tier I representing the highest skill bracket and Tier IV the lowest. The tier placement uses a weighted average of the team's ranks, prioritizing the highest-skilled players, which means teams with mixed skill levels may face tougher matches. Teams from different tiers won't compete against each other during the same weekend, treating each tier as a completely separate tournament.

Bracket Format

Tournaments typically feature single-elimination brackets with either 8 or 16 teams, depending on the clash type. Teams that lose their first match aren't eliminated completely but instead get placed into a consolation bracket, where they can continue playing for rewards. Each Clash weekend usually spans two days, with separate brackets on Saturday and Sunday, treating each day as an individual tournament.

Match Process

Before matches begin, teams go through three distinct phases:

  1. Lock-in phase

  2. Scouting phase

  3. Champion select

During the lock-in phase, all team members must confirm their participation before the tournament starts. The scouting phase gives teams five minutes to review their opponents' statistics, including win rates, KDA ratios with their most-played champions, champion mastery levels, and performance metrics. Champion select uses the competitive draft format, where the team captain handles all bans and players have access to all champions regardless of ownership.

Clash Tickets

Each player needs to submit a Clash Ticket to enter the tournament, which can be purchased with Blue Essence or Riot Points. Premium Tickets are also available and offer better rewards upon victory in the tournament.

  • Normal Clash Ticket: 975 Blue Essence or 195 RP

  • Premium Clash Ticket: 975 RP

Clash Requirements

Before joining Clash, players must meet several requirements to prevent abuse of the tournament system:

  1. Players must reach at least Summoner level 30 to participate in Clash tournaments.

  2. Players must complete their provisional matches in at least one ranked queue, either Solo/Duo or Flex Queue. Players who were unranked in the previous season cannot participate in Clash.

  3. All accounts must be verified with a phone number through SMS to prevent smurfing.

  4. Each player must obtain a Clash Ticket to enter the tournament. Tickets can be purchased from the store or received as a gift from other teammates.

Players can remove their phone number from their account at any time, but a six-month waiting period begins the moment you unlink your account, meaning you'll have to wait six months before linking the same number again.

Clash Rewards

Every player who enters Clash receives a Clash Orb or a Clash Capsule when they exit the bracket, whether they lose or win the entire tournament. The Orb or Capsule earned depends on the total number of wins and losses during the tournament, with contents upgrading based on your ticket entry and how far you progress.

Players also earn 400 Victory Points per win, with an additional first-win bonus ranging from 0 to 150 VP depending on your tier. Victory Points accumulate over two Clash weekends and can be used to unlock team icons and banners that display on your profile and in your chosen lane on Summoner's Rift.

Final Words

Clash offers League of Legends players a structured competitive experience without the commitment of professional play. With 10 tournaments scheduled throughout 2025, including special events like MSI and Worlds Clash, there are plenty of opportunities to compete with your team for exclusive rewards and bragging rights. Make sure you meet the requirements, grab your tickets, and mark your calendar for the next tournament weekend.
