Xerath is an Ascended Magus of ancient Shurima, a being of arcane energy writhing in the broken shards of a magical sarcophagus. For millennia, he was trapped beneath the desert sands, but the rise of Shurima freed him from his ancient prison. Driven insane with power, he now seeks to take what he believes is rightfully his and replace the upstart civilizations of the world with one fashioned in his image.
Xerath was released on October 6, 2011. Players could purchase them with Riot Points or Blue Essence as soon as it dropped in-game.
Xerath is primarily played in the Middle lane and falls under the Mage class. However, they can also be effective in the Support depending on team composition and matchups. The champion's kit and playstyle make them most suited for it, where they can maximize their impact throughout the game.
Currently, there are 8 Xerath Skins available in the game. This includes all cosmetic variants released since their launch, the base skin is not included.
Xerath costs 675 Blue Essence or 585 Riot Points. You can purchase them from the in-game store using either currency. Blue Essence is earned through the battle pass and disenchanting champion shards, while Riot Points require real money to obtain.
