The base skin is the same for everyone, but chromas are tied to your final rank. Higher ranks unlock additional color variants on top of the base skin. So there's still a reason to climb even after securing the 15 wins. Once a season ends, that skin is gone permanently and can't be obtained afterward. Miss the window, and there's no way to get it back.
